What is the Process?

  • 1. Contact Us

The first step in the ABA insurance process is reaching out to us! Our experienced team will walk you through every part of the journey. We’ll verify your insurance coverage, help gather any necessary documentation, and answer any questions you may have.

Contact us today to begin the process by calling us at (830) 272-5677 or emailing us at info@transformativeaba.com .Contact us here.

  • 2. Initial Assessment

Once you contact us, we’ll guide you through obtaining a formal diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or another qualifying developmental disorder, if it hasn't been done already. A licensed professional, such as a pediatrician, psychologist, or neurologist, must provide this diagnosis for insurance purposes.

After the diagnosis, one of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) will conduct an initial assessment to evaluate your child’s specific needs. This assessment includes caregiver interviews, direct observation, and standardized testing to create an individualized treatment plan.

  • 3. Insurance Authorization

Once the assessment is complete, we will submit a request to your insurance provider to obtain authorization for ABA services. We handle the process for you by:

    • Verifying if ABA therapy is covered under your plan.
    • Determining any copayments, session limits, or deductibles.
    • Submitting the required paperwork for pre-authorization, if needed.
  • 4. Service Delivery

Once authorization is in place, therapy begins! Our skilled Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), supervised by a BCBA, will work with your child according to the treatment plan. Each session is carefully documented for progress and insurance purposes.

  • 5. Re-Evaluation & Continued Authorization

Insurance companies often require regular re-evaluations to continue services. Our BCBA will submit updated treatment plans and progress reports to request further authorization, ensuring your child’s therapy remains uninterrupted.
